Where to Watch Football in Sevierville

A few weeks ago, I found myself in a dilemma familiar to any traveling football fan. I was in Sevierville, Tennessee and my favorite team wasn’t available on local television. After trying several spots around town, we found a great place I would recommend! Keep reading to see where to go to watch football in Sevierville and where you should avoid.

Blue Moose Burgers & Wings

Where We Tried to Watch Football

Our First Stop: Buffalo Wild Wings of Sevierville

Our first stop was at the Buffalo Wild Wings due to how close this location was to our accommodations. However, the restaurant was in an atrocious condition. From mysterious puddles of liquid flowing from the kitchen and a bar covered in dirty dishes to a rude and uninterested staff, this place should be skipped. Although about 90% of the restaurant was unoccupied, the staff somehow managed to avoid interacting with customers. We tried to talk to a bartender only to have her ignore us and walk away.

Later when talking to others from the area, they expressed shock, horror, and a range of other grim emotions at the mere mention of this Buffalo Wild Wings. It seems the poor state of this location is an open secret around town Do yourself a favor and keep driving. And if you’re affiliated with the Buffalo Wild Wings in Sevierville, please do better!

Our Second Stop: Quaker Steak & Lube of Sevierville

Our next stop, going a little further down the road, was Quaker Steak & Lube. The location seemed well-managed and had many more patrons than our previous stop. To our dismay, however, they did not have the NFL package and only showed the games already on local TV. If your game is available in Sevierville, but you’d rather leave the hotel to watch; this was probably a fine place to do so. Unfortunately, for our purposes, local TV wouldn’t work so we pressed on.

Our Final Stop: Blue Moose Burgers & Wings of Pigeon Forge

Our final stop on this odyssey was Blue Moose Burgers & Wings located near the Island at Pigeon Forge. This eatery was well maintained, and despite being nearly full we were seated almost immediately. The food was good, with good portions, and the staff were attentive and friendly to boot.

Blue Moose’s Labeled TVs

Blue Moose even goes the extra mile of doing their best to seat you where you can watch your preferred game. This can be a major challenge for a football fan going to a sports bar. Half the TVs are on commercials and you’re not sure which TVs are showing which games. At Blue Moose, however, they even take the extra step of labelling the TVs so you know what’s playing even if you walk in during a commercial.

Honorable Mention: The Roaming Gnome Pub and Eatery of Sevierville

One honorable mention is The Roaming Gnome Pub and Eatery. While we weren’t there to watch a game, we visited this spot the night before. With a dive bar kind of vibe, this place had fairly good food, despite slow service. I quite enjoyed the Irish Burger featuring corned beef and sauerkraut.

Personally, I’m not a fan of dive-style bars during the day, but if you enjoy that vibe, this could be a great spot to watch football.

The Final Verdict

Overall, my top choice among Sevierville’s sports bars and restaurants is Blue Moose. You can tell that whoever is in charge there is a true football fan. Good food, good service, and your choice of football games; what more do you need?
